The College of Natural Sciences Second-Year Excellence Award recognizes students at the sophomore level who are the rising stars of the college. Students are selected through a holistic review that takes into consideration academic excellence as well as achievement in other areas.
This award aims to serve two functions. First, it’s an award that students can use to distinguish themselves and put on their resume/CV. It’s also meant to be a way to identify and intentionally match these high achieving students with resources around campus (e.g., faculty mentor, research opportunities, scholarships, etc.) to support and challenge them as they continue their education.
Awardees are recognized at a ceremony that takes place each spring.
This program is on pause for the current academic year.
