CNS Advising and Student Services Staff are providing full services, we are just changing how those services are administered. Registration advising will be offered via virtual meetings in Zoom, Facetime, by email and advising worksheets in some offices. If you’re having any difficulties or are not sure who to contact, please email cnsinfo@austin.utexas.edu. If you would like to speak to someone on the phone, include a phone number in your email. You will recieve a call from a blocked number during normal business hours. 

Temporary contact information for each advising center will be administered via email, be sure to check your email often. This semester all Q-Drops, Pass/Fails, and Withdrawals will be processed via email as outlined below. 

Forms: All processing of forms will require photo/scan of a government issued ID or UT ID

  • To initiate a Q-Drop or Pass/Fail, email your advisor or CNSinfo@austin.utexas.edu with the following information:
    • Email Subject: QDrop of Pass/Fail - Depending on which you would like to initiate. 
    • Your name and EID
    • The course number AND unique number if you would like to drop or pass/fail
  • Withdrawal
    • If you would like to initiate a withdrawal, email brandon.crabtree@austin.utexas.edu
    • Email Subject: “Withdrawal Request”
    • In your email include the following:
      • Your name and EID
      • A list of at least three dates/times you are available for the exit interview appointment, which will be held on the phone or Zoom. These dates/times should be a week day between 8:00AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-5:00PM.
      • If you prefer phone appointments include a phone number you can be reached at. You will be called from a blocked number, please be sure to answer.
      • If you prefer a Zoom appointment, you will receive a link invitation via email with your appointment time.

You will make an appointment through Handshake by clicking on “Career Center” and then “Make an appointment” and can select “virtual” as the appointment medium after you pick your appointment time. 

Health Professions Office

Will be doing remote appointments, you will still be able to make an appointment by calling their office at 512-471-3172.

TIP Scholars in first three semesters at UT

 

  • TIP will continue using Calendly for students to schedule appointments.
  • You will be able to meet with your peer advisors via Zoom to draft 4-year plans.
  • You can meet with your advisor through Zoom starting soon to get your advising bar cleared or address other concerns.
