Degrees, Majors & Advising

Choosing a major is about finding an area about which you are passionate. Choosing a degree plan within that major is about building up the right set of skills that will support you in your career ahead. Ideally, here is how you would structure your time in college:

  1. Find the general topic area that interests you most, for example, astronomy or biology or physics.
  2. Choose the major that most aligns with your interests
  3. Find the degree plan that helps you achieve your goals for your time here, including preparing yourself for a career after school.
