We aim to help you develop the skills, the professional network and the pathway to success that will deliver a meaningful career experience once you have concluded your time with us in the college.
Health Professions Office
This office is here to help pre-health students better prepare for their applications to professional schools. Pre-Health Professions Coaches provide students with strategic coaching and relevant resources. Determine next steps as you progress toward individual goals with help from coaches who provide a supportive environment for exploring your path to a health professions career.
The office:
- Provides guidance through walk-ins and individual appointments
- Offers 24/7 access to extensive pre-health professions resources through its website
- Serves students from all undergraduate majors
- Hosts an annual Health Professions Fair featuring schools and programs from Texas
- Connects Health Professions Peer Coaches with high schoolers who are prospective students by appointment

Career Services
The College of Natural Sciences Career Services Office provides a variety of services and programs to empower students in career exploration, experiential learning, professional development and networking participation. The office also serves as a resource to employers by facilitating opportunities to connect with and recruit CNS students and alumni.
The office:
- Hosts career fairs every semester, in September and February, bringing 200+ employers to campus to make connections for current or future employment opportunities. Registration starts in June and in December.
- Provides many resources and career information through its website, workshops, panels, employer tabling, industry talks and networking events.
- Sends weekly newsletters to share upcoming event and activity opportunities with students, as well as open job or internship postings from 12twenty.
- Partners with employers from strategic single engagements to ongoing annual partnerships.
- Offers appointments and drop-ins about career exploration, how to find jobs and internships, resumé reviews, cover letter reviews, planning for graduate school, interview prep and mock interviews
- Helps students prepare for graduate school programs (except those covered by the Health Professions Office)
Experiential Learning Office
The Office of Experiential Learning is the home within CNS for deepening experiences both in and out of class. Students find opportunities for research, going abroad or away for experiences, team-based projects/courses, innovation initiatives and some internships.
The office:
- Offers workshops, events, coaching, self-paced programming, for-credit course offerings, connections to research labs and even the Hello, Maker Studio.
- Facilitates fellowships for hundreds of students every year are able to access support for summer experiential learning or research
- Oversees college-level programming that involves going abroad and away during your time at UT
- Provides guidance to students interested in connecting with research labs on campus or finding other opportunities linked to their major
- Supports students in navigating the many options available to them to build their portfolio and resume through experiences on and off campus.
