Come hear from Dr. Thomas R. Cech, a 1989 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner and a 1995 National Medal of Science winner.

Description

Dr. Thomas R. Cech is a Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry, the Director of the Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology PhD Program, and a Member of the Department of Biochemistry and BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is also an Investigator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, a 1989 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner, and a 1995 National Medal of Science winner. Dr. Cech is hosted by Dr. David Taylor and Grace Hibshman. 

Dr. Cech’s seminar will be “RNA: New Medicines and the Quest to Unlock Life’s Deepest Secrets” and will be followed by a pizza reception at 1:00 PM.
