Description
Can the intelligence, communication and culture found in other species help suggest that our place in the world as humans is more interconnected with other living beings than we previously thought? Can the natural world also teach us new lessons about migration, so that this essential part of life for so many species is seen less as a crisis for our own?
Explore these and other questions with award-winning journalist and author Sonia Shah, whose books include “The Next Great Migration: The Beauty and Terror of Life on the Move” and the forthcoming “Special: The Rise and Fall of a Beastly Idea.”
Following the talk, University of Texas at Austin assistant professor of integrative biology Amanda Koltz will moderate a conversation and audience Q&A.
