Description

Jointly led by the College of Natural Sciences and the Cockrell School of Engineering, Texas Biologics (TXBio) is a competitive grant program for faculty.

Faculty may submit proposals for the 2024 TXBio Pilot Grant Program. This research initiative is focused on the discovery, early development, clinical translation, production and delivery of biologic therapies originating across UT Austin. Texas Biologics (TXBio) offers this competitive grant program supported by philanthropic gifts that are being deployed broadly to enhance the intellectual environment and infrastructure relevant to biologics discovery and translation at UT Austin.

For the 2024 competition, TXBio will consider proposals that are broadly focused on:

  • new biologic therapies with novel mechanisms of action,
  • technology platforms for the productions of biologic therapies, and
  • drug delivery technologies specific to the delivery of biologic therapies.

Up to three meritorious proposals will receive up to $150,000 for a two-year performance period. Full eligibility guidelines and application instructions are available on the Competition Space website.

This program is administered by the CNS Strategic Research Initiatives team. Please direct program questions to CNS_SRI@austin.utexas.edu
