The College of Natural Sciences Hall of Honor Awards recognize distinguished achievements and service by our alumni and friends. Awards are given in three categories: Emerging Leader, Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Service.
Emerging Leader & Distinguished Alumni Awards
These awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their professions, received recognition from contemporaries, conducted themselves in ways that demonstrate pride in the University of Texas at Austin education and the education they received here, shown integrity and otherwise publicly conducted themselves in a manner that fellow Longhorns can take pride in and be inspired by. Emerging Leader nominees must be under the age of 40. Distinguished alumni can be any age.
Distinguished Service Award
This award recognizes a member of the alumni or friend community whose extraordinary service has advanced the College of Natural Sciences and made significant and lasting contributions to Texas Science. This honoree’s professional, personal, civic and philanthropic pursuits reflect the high standards and values associated with The University of Texas at Austin and higher education. Candidates for this award display exceptional interest, dedication and/or service to the College of Natural Sciences and show dedication and commitment that has significantly enriched the substance and contributed to the reputation of the College.
No more than five awards per year are made, and sometimes fewer. Nominations will remain in a candidate pool, and nomination materials may be renewed on a rolling basis.
