New Politics Forum will be hosting a STEM Policy Panel linking students with technology professionals, professors and policy experts who have backgrounds in science and engineering disciplines.
Description
The work of STEM professors and professionals reaches far beyond the classroom or research space. In fields like energy and environmental engineering, regulations and legislation at the state and national level can change the future of industries. In life and physical sciences, communicating with public officials and policymakers allows for the application of information around public health, innovation and emerging technology.
The STEM Policy Panel, part of a Texas Civic Ambassador Initiative with the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Life, connects these areas, linking students with tech and industry professionals, professors and policy experts who have backgrounds in science and engineering disciplines.
