Musical Memories featuring Mariachi Paredes de Tejestitlán

Founded in 1977, the Mariachi Paredes de Tejastitlán of The University of Texas was named in honor of Dr. Américo Paredes, a seminal figure in the history of border studies, Mexican American studies and the post-modern movement in anthropology. The director, José R. Torres-Ramos, PhD, is a renowned mariachi scholar/performer and has artistically collaborated with many internationally renowned professional ensembles, including Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, Los Camperos de Nati Cano and Sol de México de José L. Hernández.
