Description

JoAnne Evans, mezzo soprano, and Tzu Kuang Tan will perform works by Tchaikovsky, De Falla, Korngold, Powell, Bolcom and Legrand.

Joanne Evans

Winner of the Marilyn Horne Song Competition, London-born mezzo soprano Joanne Evans has been hailed as a “singer to watch” by Classical Voice America. A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and of the Vocal Arts Program at Bard College Conservatory, Ms. Evans has performed in concert halls throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe.

Tzu Kuang Tan

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Tzu-Kuang Tan enjoys an active career as a chamber musician and collaborative pianist. He was named the winner of the 2021 Jacqueline Avent Concerto Competition, the 2018 Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concerto Competition and the 2022 Marilyn Horne Song Competition.

The concert is part of the Musical Memories series sponsored by the Department of Neuroscience in collaboration with Dell Seton Medical Center.
