Join in a celebration of the recipients of this year’s University Research Excellence Awards and the President’s Research Impact Award.

You are invited to help celebrate the recipients of this year’s University Research Excellence Awards and the President’s Research Impact Award.
The 2025 Celebration of Research ceremony will be held from 4 to 5 pm on Monday, April 7 in the Hogg Auditorium. Honorees include:
- Research Excellence Career Award: Sumit Guha (History)
- Creative Endeavor Award: Lisa B. Thompson (Theatre & Dance, African & African Diaspora Studies)
- Research Paper Excellence Award: Vagheesh Narasimhan (Integrative Biology)
- President’s Research Impact Award Winners: David Allen (Chemical Engineering) and Sharon Vaughn (Special Education, Director of the Meadows Center)
All UT Austin staff, students and faculty are invited to join the celebration. If you plan to attend, please RSVP.
