Description
The session will be hosted by CNS Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Professor Shardha Jogee and CNS Faculty Affairs Staff.
This session is geared towards providing guidance to faculty many years before they come up for promotion so that they can start to build and strengthen their dossiers well ahead of time. We have found that many faculty members receive guidance too late in their career path to effectively implement them on time. While this session is geared toward faculty in Years 1-3, all professional-track faculty interested in learning more about the P&T process are welcome.
The session will provide an overview of:
- Promotion Process for CNS PTF
- Areas of Review, Timeline, and Criteria for Promotion
- What You Need to Know Several Years Before Coming Up for Promotion
- Guidance on Building a Dossier for Promotion (Primary Area of Specialization and Additional Contributions to the Academic Enterprise)
- Resources available to support your preparation
- Q&A
For questions or to confirm your attendance, please contact the CNS Faculty Affairs Staff at cnsfacultyaffairs-staff@austin.utexas.edu.
