Description
Join this NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Information Session to learn about eligibility, application strategies and resources for securing one of the nation’s premier graduate fellowships, which provides a $37,000 annual stipend plus tuition and fees for up to three years.
The information session will be led by experienced grant writer and GRFP reviewer Dr. Angel Syrett and hosted by UT GRFP Coordinator Elizabeth Korves.
Eligibility: Open to junior and senior undergraduate students, as well as first-year graduate students pursuing degrees in engineering, the natural sciences and the social sciences.
Weekly Workshop
Students who attend the information session will be able to sign up for the NSF GRFP Writers’ Workshop taught by Dr. Angel Syrett. The workshop is designed to coach graduate and undergraduate researchers through the process of writing NSF GRFP applications, including:
- Group meetings with past reviewers and past awardee guest speakers
- GRFP support network of past reviewers and past awardee peer-mentors
- Access to a large collection of resources and successful examples
- Peer review and critique guided by GRFP Merit Review Criteria
