Handshake is our on-campus recruiting and job posting platform for the College of Natural Sciences that allows employers to post paid full-time, internship, or part-time positions for Natural Sciences current students and recent grads (within the last semester of graduation).
Positions that require more than 1 year of experience or positions that are contract/short-term positions, should be posted to HireUTexas, which is a job posting site for all current students and alumni of The University of Texas at Austin.
Third-party recruiters: Please note that we do not allow third-party recruiters to have access to our recruiting system. If you are a third-party recruiter, we can post your position for you if you allow us to disclose the name of the company the position you are recruiting for would be with. Otherwise, please proceed to HireUTexas.

CNS Career Services and Natural Sciences Council would like to formally invite you to attend our upcoming Networking Night called CNS Connections! This event is open to all College of Natural Sciences majors and alumni and provides an excellent opportunity to get to know our students and brand yourself on campus.
During this event students will be able to approach professionals in a cocktail style reception and small group setting to gain first-hand insights into potential career paths after graduating from college with a math or science degree.

- Time: 6pm-8pm
- Location: Student Activities Center (SAC) Ballroom
- Students: 150 Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Seniors (ALL CNS MAJORS)
- Alumni/Industry Representatives: 40-50
- Parking: will be validated
- Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Our hope and goal is to ensure that students are more comfortable with talking to professionals and for them to understand the importance of networking and non-linear career paths.
We invite industry representatives to please join us! Registration will open at the start of the fall semester.

We currently hold two career fairs each year. The Career Fair is held each fall semester, usually in September, and the Spring Career Fair is typically held at the end of January/early February. Employers that attend hire students from various natural sciences backgrounds and are seeking candidates for full-time, part-time, and internship positions.

On-campus Interview Schedules: To reserve interview rooms, fill out our survey. You are also welcome to contact our Recruiting Coordinator. These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the limited number of interview rooms, we cannot accommodate ‘greeter’ rooms.
- Fall Recruiting: The day after the career fair through first week in November.
- Spring Recruiting: The day after the career fair through second week in March.
