Research shows students who live on-campus in smaller community settings their first year have on average higher GPAs and experience an easier transition to college life.
The WINS Residential Program (signature track) gives students interested in science, research, medicine, or any combination of the three, the ability to live together in a small community of like-minded women scholars in either Kinsolving or Jester West Residence Halls. The WINS Living Learning Community also includes the opportunity to engage in socially and educationally enriching activities within Austin as well as abroad.
To engage in our Residential Program - Obtain a Housing Contract. You can apply for on-campus housing through the Division of Housing and Food Services. Apply early! Once you have been offered a housing contract, immediately sign and return it to Housing along with the required housing deposit. Contracts usually expire ten days after you receive them, so be sure to return them promptly.
While the living component is for the first year, students are able and often wish to remain involved in program activities all four years.
