One thing you wished you would have known as a freshman: Bevo bucks don’t refill...

Favorite thing(s) about UT:
The amount of celebrities that come to campus is shocking. I also like a lot of the game day things (catch me at every home game) and rec-sports stuff. I’m a part of Texas Gymnastics and it’s one of my absolute favorite past times for the university.

One thing you wished you would have known as a freshman: I wish I knew that I didn’t necessarily have to push myself as hard as I tried to in high school and that it’s better to just buckle down and make sure to have a firm grasp on concepts rather than push ahead and not be as secure in basics. I also wish I knew that I liked computer science so that I could directly go for that major.

Favorite thing(s) about UT:Studying on the WCP rooftop on a nice day, living two blocks from Starbucks was also very nice for those long days.

One thing you wished you would have known as a freshman: Being at UT is the time put yourself out there and explore new things. I wish that I knew from the beginning that I wasn’t alone in my struggles. We’re all working hard on our own paths and we must always take a moment to be kind to ourselves and be proud of how far we’ve come.

Favorite thing(s) about UT: My favorite things about UT are the people, the Blanton, and J2 broccoli! I love that there are so many people to get to know and learn from— there’s always a friendly face around!

One thing you wished you would have known as a freshman: Explore! UT has a lot of resources to offer, and this is a great time to explore new interests and pick up new hobbies.

Favorite thing(s) about UT: The community! UT is huge, with almost 41,000 undergrads. But don't let this number deter you. Once you're here, it's easy to forget that campus is so big. And the best part about having such a large student body is that it's easier to find people just like you.
