Plot Twists

Dear Students,

In a world already full of plot twists, the last few weeks have also brought some news about changes in University leadership, most recently with last week's news that President Fenves announced he is moving to be president of Emory University. Leadership changes often come every four or five years in higher education, but there were still a lot of people (including me!) who felt surprised by President Fenves' news.

Here in the College of Natural Sciences, we continue to be dedicated to supporting you and your education, and that will always be our priority. And, campus-wide, even with the leadership changes, the University will continue on with its core purpose to transform lives for the benefit of society.

So while the world continues to change, I hope you'll join me in focusing on our goals: taking care of yourselves, checking on each other, and finishing out the semester in the strongest way possible.

Best,
Dr. Vanden Bout
