Natural Sciences Week

Natural Sciences Week

Dear Students,

The University and the College of Natural Sciences are places you call home. But it is a really big home that tens of thousands of people share with you. This is simultaneously a daunting realization and an amazing opportunity. While you're at UT, you have a unique chance to meet and listen to new people, to hear points of view and experiences of the world that are very different from your own, and to make connections you never expected. Those connections are one of the most important aspects of your time in college. One of the best ways to make those connections is by engaging with the community that is CNS.

This week you have a great chance to do just that. It is Natural Sciences Week! This week, the Natural Sciences Council brings you a big event (or two) each day to help celebrate the CNS community. So kick things off this afternoon with the "Big Bang" showcasing student organizations and departments (5-6:30 pm at the Turtle Pond). You can explore diverse interests from areas across the college. Besides the pizza and liquid nitrogen ice cream, this is a great opportunity to get out and meet some new people who are part of your community.

P.S. It isn't just Natural Sciences Week this week… Our annual Health Professions Fair is coming up on Wednesday. If you're thinking about entering a health professional school, be sure to check it out.
