Foraging Bees and the Perils of Pavement
Paved areas inhibit bee movement and impact pollination.Biologist Shalene Jha researches the ecological relationships between bees and human-made landscapes. She has discovered that the ability to move across landscapes that is required for bees is deeply impacted in paved areas. Her research is featured in the Austin American-Statesman.
