From the College of Natural Sciences
Cason Hunwick is a senior Rhetoric and Writing major and Science Communication minor at UT Austin. His favorite scientists include Stephen Hawking, Marie Curie and Linus Pauling. He plays piano, plays soccer, rock climbs and enjoys working with researchers to communicate their discoveries in compelling and insightful ways.

Larissa Herold is the Fall 2018 Science Communications Intern. She is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Plan II, with a Pre-Health Professions certificate. Last semester, she was a reporter for the Daily Texan Sci & Tech department. She believes in the power of storytelling and hopes to contribute to the movement towards bridging science and writing for a wider audience. 

Lev Sepetov is a third year chemistry major and summer intern for the Office of Communications for the College of Natural Sciences. He’s worked as an undergraduate researcher for FRI and helped with the FRI takeover during the 40 for 40 fundraiser event. He’s the babiest of three brothers and is always willing to help you with your chemistry homework.

Esther is an Austin native who spent more than 12 years as a newspaper journalist with publications like the Austin American-Statesman and the Charlotte Observer. When she's not writing, she likes to travel, read and knit.
