(1) M 408D AP Hon is specifically designed to be consistent with the Calculus AP-AB curriculum and is taught at the honors level. It skips some material AP students cover in high school and allows in depth coverage of new material. Students should also consult with their academic advisor for other calculus courses that will fulfill their degree requirements.

(2) M 408S is restricted to students in the College of Natural Sciences.
 

AP Test in Calculus-BC

Students with less than a 3 on the BC test, but with at least a 3 subscore on the AB, may claim CR for M 408K or M 408N or M 408R.

(1) M 427L AP Hon is a specially designed honors-level course, which covers the multivariable calculus content of M 408M as well as vectors and vector calculus. Successful completion of this course finishes the calculus sequence.

(2) M 408D AP Hon and M 408D will review some material covered in the Calculus BC course from high school.

Students who have completed a math course beyond AP Calculus BC and wish to try to test out of M 408D or M 408M should contact Dr. Jennifer Austin, Mathematics Undergraduate Faculty Advisor, PMA 4.101.
