Innovative Science Education
The Freshman Research Initiative (FRI) empowers more than 900 first-year students a year in first-hand research. Students work in small groups to solve challenges and make new discoveries. This nationally recognized program gives students real-world experiences in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology and computer science labs across campus.
