Research and Professional Summary

Jacque's research interests are broadly in understanding the ways divorce, single parenthood, and repartnering transitions affect family adjustment across the lifespan. In summers 2018 and 2019, respectively, she completed internships with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Texas Attorney General conducting child support policy analysis. Following graduation, she aspires to continue building her career around transforming empirical research findings into state or federal evaluation-based programs and policies that will promote well-being for fragile American children and families.

Jacque's research examines family structure influences on families' long-term social and economic outcomes. In one line of research, she examines how continued ex-spousal relations influence post-divorce social dynamics (e.g., parenting, coparenting, repartnering). Her second line of research examines how post-separation social dynamics influence parents’ economic self-sufficiency and child support compliance.
