Minyu Zhang is a fourth year Ph.D. student working with Dr. Kim. Her current research focuses on how culturally specific experiences, such as acculturation and language brokering may trigger stress within ethnic minority adolescents and their families, which, in turn, influence adolescents' academic, behavioral, and socioemotional development.

Research interests: ethnic minority family stressors, adolescent well-beings, parenting, acculturation discrepancy, language brokering, physiological stress, cortisol, sleep
