Shelly Engelman, Ph.D., is the STEM Program Evaluation and Research Coordinator for TIDES in the College of Natural Sciences. Dr. Engelman is a trained social and quantitative psychologist with an expertise in cultural diversity, gender and racial disparities in academic achievement, and behavioral research methods. She has more than 7 years of experience in the field of research and evaluation, and has been a lead evaluator on a series of state- and federally-funded programs. Dr. Engelman has led numerous workshops and presentations on evaluation in a variety of contexts, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, American Evaluation Association, and the Eastern Evaluation Research Society. She also served as a psychology instructor at the University of Delaware teaching an array of undergraduate courses, including Introduction to Psychology, Racism and Prejudice, Statistics, and Research Methods.
