Matthew Landry is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Stanford Prevention Research Center in the School of Medicine at Stanford University. He is also the American Society for Nutrition Science Policy Fellow (2020-2021). Matthew received his Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Louisiana State University and his doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2020, he completed his dietetic internship at The University of Texas at Austin and is expected to sit for the registered dietitian examination in Fall 2020.

Education

PhD in Nutritional Sciences 

B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences, Louisiana State University 

Major areas of research interest are 1) examining overall dietary quality and composition of a healthful diet on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and risk factors for chronic diseases 2) examining policies that provide equitable access and availability to nutritious foods which are encouraged in our federal nutrition guidelines, and 3) understanding how social determinants of health exasperate short and long-term health disparities in diverse populations.
