Favorite Quote:

This quote was given to me on a magnet as a gift by a coworker at my first job out of college and it hasn't stopped speaking to me over the years:

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life, but there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. [Souza]

What is your favorite thing to do?

I enjoy volunteering at my youngest daughter's elementary school working with students on literacy, writing and math in small groups. I also love spending time doing outdoor activities with my family and my family is my center. You can sometimes find me running/walking on the brushy creek trail in Northwest Austin with our furry dog loves Rocket, Lily & Cam.

What is one thing many people do not know about you?

I walked the Susan G Komen 3 day for the cure. This encompasses walking 60 miles in 3 days and fundraising over $3,500. This was one of the best experiences of my life. It was intense at times, challenging mentally and physically and a ton of fun too! I will never forget this experience.  I have also climbed a 14er in Colorado with my husband and daugther, it was almost as challenging if not more so than the 3 day I did. It is so beautiful at 14,300FT!
