WHO CAN ATTEND?

  • All UT Austin students and alumni are welcome to attend!  Students must have their UT Austin ID to attend the career fair.  Alumni must bring a government-issued ID and their resume for admission into the career fair.

Note: There will be no coat or bag check at the career fair.  Attendees are responsible for carrying their coats and bags with them during the fair.  Any items left unattended in the Frank Erwin Center will be confiscated by police.

 

TRANSPORTATION TO THE FRANK ERWIN CENTER

We provide a shuttle every 15 minutes starting at 12:30, running continuously until 6:00 pm.  Pick-up locations are below:

  • 21st in front of the Littlefield Fountain
  • *LOCATION CHANGED* 23rd & SAN JACINTO (NORTHeast corner OF THE stadium BY GATE 8)

DRESS RECOMMENDATIONS

Business casual is recommended for the career fair, however, we do not enforce a dress code.  We recommend that you dress for the company and industry you are looking to meet - know their culture.  Remember: first impressions are important!  Take a look at these dress recommendations.

Before

  • Update and enhance your resume
  • Review the list of companies attending
  • Research the companies attending
  • Narrow down which companies you'd most want to speak to
  • Practice your "elevator pitch"

 

At the career fair

  • Maintain good eye contact
  • Walk up to the booth with a purpose
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the company
  • Relate your skills and experiences to the companies positions

Bioscience & Biotechnology Career Fair

The career fair is a great opportunity to network with representatives from the bioscience and biotechnology industries. The event is a collaborative effort between the Engineering Career Assistance CenterNatural Sciences Career ServicesBiomedical Engineering Society-Student Chapter, and American Chemical Society- Student Chapter.

Network with employers and graduate school programs from the bioscience, biomedical and biotechnology industries. Students can share resumes with employers and find out more about employers and their hiring needs, as well as network with representatives from graduate school programs.
