Internship For Course Credit

Completing an internship is a great way to figure out if you will like a job or even a career, and it's also a great way to get some experience on your resume.  Career Services offers multiple online internship courses for all College of Natural Sciences students to gain academic credit for woek experiences related to your major.

To proceed with any Internship In The Sciences Course Application (see below for internship course types), you should have the following to be considered for registration approval:

1. A secured internship (dates of internship must be concurrent with the semester in which you are enrolling for the course)  

2. An offer letter that includes:

  • Name and contact information (phone and email address) of your internship supervisor
  • Specific beginning and end dates of the internship
  • Number of hours of work per week (verification that you will meet 160 hours for Summer semester / 120 hours for Fall/Spring semester)
  • Pay rate for the position (if unpaid this must be indicated), and a description of what you will be doing during your internship
