Bigger and Better than before including biology/medicine, chemistry, physics/astronomy, and computer science!

The Women in Natural Science program at the University of Texas invites all 11-15 year old girls to a science extravaganza. At Science in Action, you will get to observe and participate in exciting science demonstrations and tour state-of-the-art research labs. In addition, you will attend an information session on connecting your scientific interests into a career, presented by Girl Start and meet interesting UT students.

After the key note presented by Girl Start, the entire group will be divided into smaller groups for the hands-on demonstrations and tours. You have the choice of learning about ONE of the following science fields:

Biology
Chemistry
Computer Science
Astronomy/Physics

Cap it all off with a panel of female science students who will answer all your questions about science and college life during a pizza party. The program will be geared toward junior high and high school girls but all ages are welcome. Parents/mentors are welcome to attend the event.
