A day-long science extravaganza for 11-15 year old girls. At Science in Action, you will get to observe and participate in exciting science demonstrations and tour state-of-the-art research labs. In addition, you will attend an information session on connecting your scientific interests into a career, presented by Girl Start and meet interesting UT students.

Almost three hundred 6th - 8th grade girls spent the day participating in fun-filled, hands-on workshops led by professional women who have careers in math, science, engineering and technology fields.

First Bytes is an award winning outreach program designed especially for high school women who want a "taste" of computer science through "hands-on" experience.
