About Us

The Society of Computational Biology intends to increase awareness among students regarding the newly established, interdisciplinary subjects of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, and provide a forum for discussions, meetings and other activities for its members.  Toward this end, the Society holds regular group meetings to discuss scientific papers published in peer reviewed research journals relevant to the goals of the Society, invites speakers from other university campuses, and holds informal talk sessions.
