About Us
The Physical Therapy Organization (PTO) at the University of Texas is an organization designed for students seeking a career in physical therapy. We provide information to students as well as encourage and support their pursuits in the area of physical therapy. Throughout the year, we have guest speakers from the nine Texas PT schools who discuss admission requirements and particulars about their programs. The primary objective of our organization is to provide a support network for those who plan on applying to physical therapy school. New students receive peer counseling and updated information regarding job openings and volunteer opportunities are made available to everyone. PTO provides a forum to voice concerns about majors, prerequisites for admissions and application procedures. PTO is a pre-professional organizationbut does host social activities throughout the year.
