About Us

The purpose of Project Science Enrichment in Elementary Education (Project SEEE) is to promote science education and a greater public understanding of science and technology by direct participation in science enrichment activities in elementary schools. We hope to demystify science for elementary school students and to expose them to basic concepts at all levels of ability. Our membership is open to UT students, faculty and staff. Project SEEE is a service organization involved in individual and group presentations in all sciences at local elementary schools. We provide an “on-call” service for demonstrations and films and the people to present them; a “liaison” program that provides a Project SEEE member to work with each participating elementary school teacher in the classroom; a computer-based storage and retrieval system for resource materials (books, magazines, films, science kits, etc.); and development of an elementary school curriculum.
