The purpose of the Actuarial Science Club is to enhance opportunities for students interested in actuarial science. All members gain experience and knowledge of the actuarial profession through biweekly meetings with guest speakers addressing topics pertinent to the industry. IM sports and social events such as pizza outings provide internal networking opportunities, while professional guest speakers and other social events provide external networking opportunities. Professional seminars, mock exams, and a study group forum provide support and resources to students preparing for and taking actuarial exams. Donations to the actuarial scholarship fund are made with income from the seminars and help actuarial students fund their education. Membership is open to all UT-Austin students with the expressed intention of taking actuarial science courses at UT.
