About Us

The Astronomy Students Association was formed to serve as an intermediary between astronomy students and faculty and  the general student population at the University of Texas. In particular, the group provides a convenient way for undergraduate students to be more involved in research and the scientific process and for non-scientists to learn about astronomy.  Most of our members are astronomy majors, but there is no real need to be. Membership is casual—there are no dues or fees. All University of Texas students are eligible for ASA membership—just come to our meeting!
