About Us

The Asian Health Professions Organization (AHPO) was originally intended to provide students with social camaraderie and an opportunity to become more familiar with the medical field. Through time, AHPO has developed into an organization that provides students with peer support and advice as well as providing a means for students to prepare for their medical careers.  AHPO provides academic assistance and opportunities to develop character and leadership skills through organizational and community projects and activities. With these goals in mind, AHPO understands and emphasizes that awareness and preparedness are the keys to future success.  Although founded with the concerns of Asian students in mind, AHPO welcomes students of any nationality and seeks to fulfill the needs of all members.
