The UT Association for Computing Machinery is the world's largest student chapter of the ACM. The association exists to foster interest in information technologies and to facilitate dialogue concerning computers and the possibilities and opportunities they hold.
Here at the UTACM, we don't just work and play hard, but we realize the value of community service. As a group or individually, the UTACM and its members try to make a commitment to help our community at least once a semester. A few recent successful projects include working with the UT Lead Project 2000, Project 2001, volunteering with TreeFolks, Austin Project Reachout, and Habitat for Humanity.
UTACM also serves the campus community by managing a program called Tutornet that matches students who need academic help with those willing to provide tutoring. Check our web site for more details about getting involved in ACM's activities.
