Undergraduate Research Fellowships
The College of Natural Sciences funds and/or administers a number of fellowships for students doing research. We can also help direct you to many outside sources of funding for students engaged in research.
| Support for Travel to Conferences |
|
Attending national and international conferences is an important activity for undergraduate researchers. At conferences, you are able to meet scientists in your field, hear about new research, and present your own work. To support student travel to conferences, the College of Natural Sciences offers travel grants, typically in the amount of $250 - $500, to help students pay for meeting-related expenses such as airfare, registration fees, meals, and lodging. We encourage students to request funding for travel to conferences from multiple sources. Please indicate all possible sources of funding in the budget you submit as part of your application. All students attending a conference are eligible to apply for funding, but those who are presenting their research at the conference will be given priority in the review process. Students must apply in advance of travel. Processing of travel documentation may take several weeks, so it is best to turn in your application for funding at least 14 business days prior to travel. Students will be notified by email if they receive an award. Travel Grant Application
