The College of Natural Sciences Summer Research Academy offers high school students, visiting students from other universities, and incoming University of Texas at Austin freshmen the chance to experience research and mentorship opportunities during the summer.
1. High School Academy – This academy places rising high school juniors and seniors in research experiences with faculty and research groups. For more information about the program and how to apply click here. 2. Visiting University Students- The summer Research Academy also provides funded research experiences to visiting university students. Visiting students must apply separately for this funding in the spring. 3. Incoming UT Students – Recent high school graduates or transfer students who have been accepted to UT Austin can participate in research the summer before they begin their degree work. This can be a part of an early-start program, such as Summer Honors Chemistry or the Degree-in-Three, or it can simply be a stand-alone experience.
