The Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy (MPA) Advising Center provides comprehensive advising services for students. It is our objective to optimize students' success and assist them in reaching their academic, professional, and personal goals by providing quality guidance for degree planning and by serving as a referral resource for career and student life concerns. Advisors are available year-round. Students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment in advance and come in early to avoid the registration rush! The Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy Advising Center advises students who have successfully completed the introductory Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy sequence. First year and entry level MPA majors are advised in the First-Year Advising Center and Transitional Advising Center (TRAC). Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics: Teaching Option are advised by the UTeach advisor. We are happy to help students with questions about MPA UT course prerequisites.
