The Freshmen Scholarship Application (FSA) is required of applicants who wish to be considered for any/all available merit and/or need-based scholarships offered by the University of Texas. The FSA goes to the University's Office of Student Financial Services (OSFS). After you apply, the Office of Student Financial Services (OSFS) reviews your application to determine your eligibility for scholarships. All applicants interested in scholarships should also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the March 15th priority deadline.
All prospective CNS students who have been admitted into the College of Natural Sciences and who have indicated a CNS major as their first choice will be considered for scholarships awarded by the College of Natural Sciences. There is not a separate scholarship application for College of Natural Sciences prospective freshmen. However, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit the FSA and FAFSA by their respective deadlines. Information provided on these applications can be extremely helpful in the CNS scholarship review process.
