The British Marshall Scholarship
It provides for two or three years of study at a British university. Marshall Scholars receive approximately $50,000 for their studies at the university of their choice. The Marshall scholarship was set up by the British as a way of thanking the American people for the Marshall Plan. For more information on how to apply please see the Marshall Scholarship website.

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Awarded annually on the basis of merit to students in the fields of math, science, and engineering who are nominated by the faculties of colleges and universities nationwide. Scholarships are a maximum of $7,500 per year. Four-year institutions such as UT Austin are eligible to nominate up to four students who are in the sophomore or junior class during the 2003-2004 academic year.
