Academics
Students in the Health Science Honors Program will pursue a course of study across all four years aimed at both career exploration and preparation for health science graduate and professional programs. The HSH is not a degree program, however it will include courses to meet these objectives including:
  • An Introduction to Research Methods course
  • Interdisciplinary seminars developed specifically for HSH students
  • Honors-level courses in math and science disciplines
  • Hands on research for course credit
  • A new Health Professions internship course
The College of Natural Sciences' HSH Program is compatible with any of the degree plans in the College of Natural Sciences. Click on the links  below to learn more about each discipline and to see the degrees and course offerings in that area.

The College of Natural Science Honors Program has a dedicated academic advisor on hand who:

Meets in person with each student in the College of Natural Sciences Honors Program at least once a semester to discuss course selection (including honors courses) and create an individual plan to facilitate progress toward graduation;

Works to evaluate test credits and help determine what credits can be used toward degree requirements and which courses should be taken on campus;

Initiates petitions to modify degree requirements as needed to meet honors-level accomplishment and course work;

Is available during registration and at any time during the semester to assist with alternate plans based on course availability;

Provides current and accurate information about educational options, requirements, policies, and procedures;

Helps College of Natural Sciences Honors Program students identify and integrate the many resources of the University to meet their unique educational needs and goals; and to provide strategies for utilizing the available resources and services on campus.
