This position is for an analytical Chemist Intern (Co-Op) in the Quality Control Laboratory at the Ethylene Copolymers plant at Sabine River Works in Orange, TX. A successful candidate would work in tandem with experienced PhD chemists on a variety of projects relating to the support of the manufacture of ethylene copolymers.

There are a few simple ways to approach your search for the right summer research opportunity:

1) Look at the major databases of research opportunities that take place away from UT-Austin:

  • The National Science Foundation's database of Research Experience for Undergraduates can be searched by area of interest or location.
  • The College of Natural Sciences Research Programs Database provides a searchable database of summer research programs. Since the advent of NSF's database, we have chosen to focus our database on:
    • Programs not funded by NSF 
    • Programs for students interested in medical research
    • Programs for international students or international research
