How to Apply

The FRI welcomes applications from all incoming students and is compatible with several other programs for incoming freshman, including Dean's Scholars Honor's Program, Plan II, TIP, Texas IP, WINS, Emerging Scholars and Biology Scholars.

To apply:

  1. You can fill out a paper application during the Undergraduate Research Information Session during Summer Orientation sessions offered by UT.
  2. You can have your High School Science teacher nominate you for admission to our program. Teachers and Counselors click here for our Nomination Form. The due date has passed. Nomination Forms will be due in May, 2009.
  3. You can apply online through our Early Bird Application process available now (Spring semester only). The due date has passed.  Applications will be due in May 2009.

The application process for the 2007-2008 academic year has ended but please check our website for more updates on admission into the 2008-2009 FRI class.
