Programs and Activities



Visit the student site for more information on activities being organized by the Dean's Scholars themselves.
Not only do Dean’s Scholars take a number of classes together with other program participants each semester, they also:
  • Attend special dinners hosted by faculty members at their homes.
  • Participate in lunchtime discussions.
  • Take weekend field trips to places such as the McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis and the Marine Sciences Institute in Port Aransas. 
  • Pursue leadership and volunteer opportunities through the Dean’s Scholars Student Council.
  • Participate in frequent activities that are organized by the council, including distinguished guest lectures, theater productions, an organ donor drive, intramural sports teams, elementary school enrichment programs, movie nights, and many other events each year.
