How to Apply

We are looking for students who seek the intellectual challenge and stimulation of an interdisciplinary program emphasizing scientific research. Dean’s Scholars typically achieve high SAT scores and class ranking, but admission is not based solely on these criteria.  More important in the selection process is evidence of an applicant’s passion for science, research, and individual discovery, as well as a broad view of how science fits into the community.

To apply:

High School Seniors
  • If you are a high-school senior applying to the university, complete the online Honors Program application.
  • Regular application deadline: February 1st
  • Scholarship consideration deadline: December 3rd

Current University of Texas students and Transfer students:
  • If you are transferring from another college or university, please contact the program coordinator for an application.  If you are a current undergraduate, please download the transfer application for current students. A limited number of current and transfer students are accepted each semester.
  • Fall application deadline for admission into the program Spring 2008: December 10th, 2007
  • Spring deadline for admission into the program Fall 2008: June 10th , 2008
