Welcome to the First-Year Advising Center!

We provide comprehensive advising services to first-year and entry-level students in the College of Natural Sciences.

We're here to help you optimize your success and to assist you in reaching your academic goals as you make the fun and challenging transition from high school to college. We'll guide you to the resources available at UT-Austin and in the College of Natural Sciences, as well as help you choose a major and plan your degree. We also hold workshops to help you reach your goals and events to help you feel welcome to our college.

The First-Year Advising Center opened Fall 2006, growing out of the Transitional Advising Center, which opened in Fall 1998.
